HELLO!

Thanks for enrolling your precious people with us. We can’t wait to meet you.

First thing’s first: TASK has developed our Fair Play Policy to ensure that all children and families understand the basic rules and behaviour expectations which guarantee the safety and enjoyment of everyone at TASK. It's important that you take time to talk through the policy with your child. By booking and attending TASK sessions, you acknowledge that both you and your child(ren) understand the Fair Play Policy and will uphold and be bound by its contents.

Some useful tips before beginning at TASK:

  • Save TASK phone numbers and email addresses to your contacts. These are available from your school’s hub, in the schools menu.

  • Advise your child’s teacher/school that your child is attending TASK.

  • Feel free to drop by to introduce yourself to the TASK team & let your child see what they will be getting up to.

  • Our team members wear yellow TASK lanyards with name tags and blue TASK vests.

  • Encourage your child to bring home readers & any homework given by their teacher.

  • Remember to update your contact details and any health and medical information if they change. This is a regulatory requirement and crucial to ensure the safety and wellbeing of children.

  • Permanent schedules are ongoing bookings which recur on a weekly or fortnightly basis. These sessions are offered at a discounted rate, but are still charged if your child is absent. To make or change a permanent schedule, email our enrol team: enrol@task-kids.com.au

Casual bookings are non-recurring sessions that are booked as needed. They can be booked via the Parent App or Hubhello website, or by emailing our enrol team.

  • It’s crucial that you inform us if your child will not be attending a scheduled TASK session for any reason. Simply email enrol@task-kids. com.au with your child’s name, school and date of absence. If a child is on the attendance roll and fails to arrive, we are legally obliged to take all necessary steps to locate them. This involves calling, texting and emailing all authorised contacts on the enrolment form. If we cannot contact you or verify your child’s safety within a reasonable time, we will contact Police for assistance. A $15 fee applies for failing to notify us of an absence. Delivery, Arrival and Collection of Children Policy

  • If you are going away during term and your child will be absent from their permanent schedule for a period of up to three weeks or less than 10 sessions, we will mark them as absent for that period and fees (after CCS if applicable) will be payable. This includes absences that start before the school term ends and after term begins.

If you are going away for longer than this, you have the option of removing your schedule and emailing us to reinstate it upon your return. Unfortunately, we cannot hold your child’s place during this absence, and their schedule will be subject to availability on return.

  • TASKers need to be collected and signed out no later than the closing time of your service (listed on the website.) We understand that sometimes unavoidable stuff happens – if you are running late, please call your service and let them know as soon as you can. Fees are applied for repeated late pickups:
    < 5 minutes: $10
    < 30 minutes: $50
    > 30 minutes: $100

  • You can list multiple contacts on your enrolment form and select whether or not they are authorized to collect children from service. If someone other than those listed will be collecting your child, please email authorisation to enrol@task-kids.com.au. ID will need to be shown at the service in this instance. Delivery, Arrival and Collection of Children Policy

  • TASK is committed to supporting the safety, wellbeing, and inclusion of all children. We follow all medical and support plans provided to ensure your child’s safety and wellbeing while they are in our care, as set out in our Dealing with Medical Conditions in Children Policy.

Families are responsible for keeping all Medical Action Plans, Risk Minimisation Plans, and medications up to date. You must provide updated documents or medications before they expire and let us know promptly about any changes to your child’s condition, medication, or support needs. Care may be delayed or paused if required documentation is not provided. This is a condition of enrolment and reflects our duty of care obligations under the Education and Care Services National Regulations.

  • Of course! TASK can accommodate children attending other activities at school such as drama, music, languages, chess, tennis, sports training etc. Please complete the online form at Before & After School Activities Form and advise enrol@task-kids.com.au The activity provider will need to collect the child from TASK and return them to ensure the duty of care responsibility is clear.
